Busy weeks

Hi again and as people say in Japanese 久しぶり! (=Long time no see! Don't know why some things just naturally come to me in Japanese. I should really study it more when I get back to Finland. :P)

Anyway I spent 5 days of the reading week in Taipei, Taiwan and had a nice time there with two Korean girls. Will write a separate post about that with _many_ pictures.

Anyway after coming back from Taiwan I got a small flu, so I basically spent the whole Sat in bed. Then it was time for a lot of studying as I had two midterms, one laboratory work and one homework deadline on that week. As for the midterms, they were on Monday and Tuesday of last week and weren't actually that bad, but I basically spent the whole nights studying for those. Especially reading for the Cantonese exam on Tue was a horrible as I had thought it would be on Thu, but no it was not and I noticed this on Mon around midnight, so I basically had 9 hours to sleep and study half of the book...

Got the score of 82,3/100 which is good relating to how much I had studied. But on the comparison I got 95% of my self-introduction presentation, so it balances it a bit. :)

Also on the Cantonese class today we were practising about going to a cafe and asking "what is this?" and so on, so... our teacher decided to bring us some pineapple buns and egg tarts to the class. :) We didn't get a bun and tart each but divided those 6 tarts and 4 buns to 18 people. Have to say that I love the mini egg tarts I've mentioned before and those bigger ones are just not as good.

Yukichi posing with the egg tart. Pineapple bun in the front.
I'll also write a separate posts of the two laboratory session I've had once I have done the reports on them, because the style is somewhat different from the style in Aalto. Had first lab for the "Power system protection" course and the other was for "Energy conversion systems" and there we created a solar cell!

Hmm, what else...? A lot of training again. :D And I started to mark the practises on Heiaheia and noticed that I have done sports 2x as much in HK that in Finland for the whole last year. :P Well that's a lot! I must keep this up when I come back to Finland.

As for the weather the summery feeling has been left behind for a while and now forecasts just promise rain and cloudy. On top of those it also really windy.

Today I went to eat lunch with a girl from my class, Cathy, and her secondary school friend (both locals) at Oliver's Sandwich and actually ate baked potato with salmon, the most Finnish like dish I've eaten here thus far. :P And I got good tips on where to get a traditional Chinese costume qipao. And also a custom made one should cost around 500-600HKD and not more than 1000HKD. Definitely getting a custom made when prices are just around 500-600 as I don't trust that cheap ones bought from night market would fit me that well... But I'm so buying one. :)

Edit: Got one super cheap from Guangzhou, but didn't get a good one in the end as would have costed too much with made-to-measure and in the end I forgot to go to Ladies market etc. to see if they would have had some with a cheap price. :P Well, I have my yukata from Japan :)

And as for the last thing (some of you have already seen this in Facebook, but....)

My own basketball team jersey! <3
...TADAAA! I finally got my very own basketball team jersey on last Sat. So happy! :D And it's also the first time I actually have a jersey with my name on it. Feels so professional in a way. :) Anyway next match (3rd and final in the pool) will be on this Thu. Ga yau! Add oil!
